The Volunteer Program Coordinator will be in contact with you to arrange a time to meet and discuss your volunteer application and answer any questions you may have.

What happens next?

1. Interview
All potential volunteers are required to meet with the Volunteer Program Coordinator to be interviewed to ensure that their skills fit the position description and to explain the requirements of the volunteer role you have applied for.

2. Police and Reference Check
People applying to become a volunteer are asked to provide 2 referees and to undergo a police check. To complete the police check you will need to provide 4 identity and community documents (https://www.crimcheck.org.au/identity-requirements).

3. Driver Assessment
In the case you wish to become a volunteer driver for Day Links Community Transport one of our skilled driving assessors will take you on a test drive to ensure you are well prepared to drive our clients.

4. Costs
SPDL will cover these costs as a part of the volunteer recruitment and orientation process

5. Almost there…
Following this you will either go on a drive-a-long with an experienced volunteer drivers or are matched with a client in one of the Mates Programs.
